Product Marketing
I use the term Product Marketing interchangeably with Product Management to refer to a broad spectrum of "inbound" as well as "outbound" product-related activities.
Product Marketing is the integrated discipline of developing and maintaining the processes necessary to formulate product requirements, manage the product life cycle, and define product packaging, pricing and market positioning. Product Marketing serves as an indispensable bridge between Product Development, all other parts of the company, and the market, ensuring that customer and prospect viewpoints are represented inside the company and that the product is properly represented to the market.
